Mairi Welman

Mairi Welman was the Director of Communications for ReBoot.

Mairi was married to Chris Welman, another employee who served as an animator, executive, and Director of Software Development.

She is a long-time professional communicator and has practiced her craft in the Lower Mainland for 20 years in the public and private sectors. She helped launch a highly successful IPO and has worked in transportation, fine arts, tourism, and TV & Film, and has also run a successful PR consulting firm working for clients in health care, high-tech, computer games and animation businesses.

Mairi was part of the "GVRD Communications" team in the early 1990s that developed the 'Creating Our Future' public consultation program and, subsequently, the Livable Region Strategy. Mairi understands the media's needs and timelines. She joined Mainframe in 1997 to orchestrate the majority of interviews for the company's newsgroup; acting as a spokesperson to the fans and viewers of ReBoot during the fourth season. She often kept in contact with voice actors like Tony Jay should any new roles within the syndicated episodes become available. Mairi Welman also worked in Publicity on the studio's CGI TV series "Action Man" and "Beast Wars". Her favourite character in the ReBoot series was reportedly Phong.

After working with Mainframe Entertainment Inc for five years, Mairi she left the award-winning studio in July 2001 to pursue other opportunities at "Rocky Mountaineer Railtours".

Mairi Welman joined the RCBC in the fall of 2007 and is now the Director of Communications for the "Recycling Council" of B.C, Vancouver in Canada.
