David Kaye is a Canadian actor known on ReBoot for voicing the Spectral beings from the season 3 episode Where No Sprite Has Gone Before.

He was born 14 October 1964 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. David Kaye's acting, animation and voice over talents provides radio and television branding and imaging to clients around the world. David is heard worldwide providing the voice for thousands of different broadcast projects including hundreds of national radio & television commercial campaigns including 'Coke', 'Wal Mart', 'Burger King', 'General Mills', 'Mattel' plus network television including 'The Fox Sports Network', 'TBS Superstation', 'Fox News Network', 'Nickelodeon', and a huge variety of major radio and television stations across the globe. Kaye does voiceovers for countless characters in cartoon series, and audio book narration as well. He even appears in front of the camera from time to time.

Actor David Kaye was already a radio professional by the age of 16. Working summers and weekends during his high school years in Peterborough, Ontario, he dropped his plans for a psychology degree to pursue a full-time career on-air.

Kaye's breakthrough came as a radio personality on a station in London, Ontario, and he followed that with a move to Vancouver's CKLG. There he handled every shift before joining the popular "Morning Zoo" crew, for which he came up with zany characters like the drawling "Cowboy Dick" and "Stunt Boy" with the latter providing him an excuse for remote broadcasts from odd locations.

He began voicing in animation within 1989, when he was cast as the voice of General Hawk in "G.I Joe". Consequently, Kaye became disinterested in radio, an integral reason behind his departure from LG73. Since then, he has voiced hundreds of characters, his excellent range allowing a wide variety of ages, accents and dialects. For many, his most notable role is of Predacon/Vehicon Chieftain: Megatron in "Beast Wars" and "Beast Machines" between 1996-2000. Kaye continued to voice the subsequent incarnations of the character in "Transformers: Armada", "Transformers: Energon", and "Transformers: Cybertron" series.

He originally was not going to play 'Megatron' in "Transformers: Cybertron", however, Kaye was later asked to reprise his role after a handful of episodes were recorded with a different actor. Kaye previously voiced Megatron's antithesis Optimus Prime in "Transformers: Animated", which makes him the first actor who has voiced both Megatron and Optimus Prime on a regular basis.

Kaye's live action roles consist of a large majority from the Sci-fi genre, such as "Battlestar Galactica", "The X Files", and "The Twilight Zone". Additionally, his theatre work has included the popular plays "A Streetcar Named Desire" and "Of Mice and Men".

Owning his own private company, David Kaye Productions operates out of state-of-the-art private studios in the "entertainment capitol of the world" Burbank, California complete with 'round the clock tech support.
